Revelation 13:2 “And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his [Daniel’s beast is “his”] feet were as [the feet] of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”
Revelation 13:5 “And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty [and] two months.”
There are an average of 30.44 days in a month.
30.44 x 42 months = 1278.5 days (as years) 1278.5 years.
1967 – 1278.5 = 688.5 AD which is the founding of the Dome of the Rock.
The Islamic Leopard – Bear – Lion Beast of Revelation 13 had political and religious control “continued” in Jerusalem until 1967 when the Israelis regained Jerusalem taking control of the city and the temple mount.
The Leopard – Bear – Lion beast had exerted control through “jizya” a humiliating tax on the enslaved non Muslim people. Islam is symbolically marked by the founding year of the Dome of the Rock.
Daniel defined the figurative language of a “beast” in the context of Daniel 7:23.
Daniel 7:23 “Then he said, ‘The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom in the earth, which shall be unlike to all the kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down and break it in pieces.” (Geneva Bible).
Hence, in the figurative language of a dream of vision “beast” = “kingdom.”
On page 321 of Paul Johnson’s book “A History of the Jews” he declares:
"Between 1827 and 1839, largely through British efforts, the population of Jerusalem rose from 550 to 5,500 and in all Palestine it topped 10,000 - the real beginning of the Jewish return to the Promised Land. In 1838, Palmerston appointed the first western vice-consul in Jerusalem, W.T. Young, and told him 'to afford protection to the Jews generally'."
From Revelation 13:2 we understand “the dragon [Satan] gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”
It is Satan who gives the Leopard – Bear – Lion beast the power of which is spoken in Revelation 13:5
The kingdom beasts of the Lion, Bear, and Leopard of Daniel’s prophecy are recognized as Babylon, Medo-Persia, and Greece. Hence, the Lion, Bear, and Leopard in Daniel’s prophecy are the composite beast / kingdom found in Revelation chapter 13.
The nations of Iraq, Iran, and Syria/Lebanon are the same geographic regions of the Lion, Bear, and Leopard. There is a measure of national autonomy between the various Islamic sects who war with each other.
They are united through their false prophet Mohammed and the spirit of antichrist.
Matthew 24 confirms the “Dome of the Rock” – the “abomination of desolation” fits the terms used to describe the abomination. It was ‘set up,’ and ‘stands,’ ‘where it ought not’, ‘in’ the ‘holy place’. Matthew and Mark instruct us to “understand” this principle.
The transfer of wealth from the Western nations to the Middle Eastern Islamic nations happened through the purchase of oil. The purchase of oil was the means to “heal the wound” of the Leopard Bear Lion beast. It was the purchase of oil by Western nations which finances the 2nd Jihad. Consequently, the second Jihad is a “likeness” of the first jihad. Therefore, it is an ‘image’ of the first jihad. The ‘image’ of the beast may also be in the Kaaba which contains the Black Stone. Muslims bowed to the Kaaba which once contained over 360 idols in Mecca.
